BACHELOR IN SOCIAL WORK (BSW)

The three-year Bachelor’s Programme in Social work is an intensive course with theory and field practice. The uniqueness of this programme is that the students are exposed to intensive experiential learning. The allied papers offered, Sociology and Psychology, will enable the graduates to move easily into other post-graduate courses.
The course extends over three years covering six semesters. The course of study consists of : Foundation Course- Language: Tamil / French, Part II – English, Core Courses consisting of Main subjects, allied subjects, application oriented subjects and practical.
Admission
For admission into the BSW programme, the candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or an examination accepted as equivalent thereof by the Madras University .
Application Forms
Application form, including copy of prospectus, for Graduate, Post Graduate, Diploma and M.Phil. programmes can be obtained from the College office and the respective program offices during the month of May for all the Courses. Last date for receipt of completed application forms will be given in the Prospectus. |
