PMIR DIPLOMA
Evening Programme ( 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm )
This is a two-year evening course for post graduate students leading to a diploma granted by MSSW in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. Started in 1978, the course imparts high professional training in personnel management and industrial relations by intensive coaching, case studies and extensive field work. The curriculum is focused on professional knowledge and accentuates development of specialized and effective skills and fosters attitudes essential for the students to grow into competent managers and responsible leaders.
The two year programme is divided into 4 semesters each of six months duration. On completion of the programme the student will be awarded ‘The PG Honours Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations”. This diploma is recognized by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for the purpose of employment. It has also been recognized by the Missouri State University, USA as conferring eligibility for admission to the final year of the MBA course of the University.
Admission
The minimum qualification for admission is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. As the programme is primarily intended for those already employed, preference will be given to applicants already working in Personnel, HRD Administration, Industrial Relations, Training and Development and allied functions. Industries may also sponsor candidates for training. Applicants fulfilling the stated requirement will also be called for entrance test and personal interview.

Application form, including copy of prospectus, for Graduate, Post Graduate, Diploma and M.Phil. programmes can be obtained from the College office and the respective program offices during the month of May for all the Courses. Last date for receipt of completed application forms will be given in the Prospectus. |
